The Paper-cut Girls "剪纸姑娘“ This playful and somewhat mischievous dance uses the concept of traditional “papercuts”- delicate patterns or dolls cut from very thin tissue paper. It comes from a child’s story where young girls who where were supposed to cut good luck symbols from the lucky red paper grew bored and began cutting out dolls. They were scolded for not obeying. However, at night, the dolls from the papercuts came alive and began playing with their creators.
